    This Bothers Me

Lovepuppy…It’s okay! It was an awesome post, which definitely inspired people. Hopefully some of those 58’s will become new followers for whatiwore. Just consider it marketing for your blog (the link was included, so maybe potential new fans will skip on over to your site).

I can understand your irritation, just trying to flip it and offer a bit of encouragement.

    lovepuppy:

This really bothers me. Today I posted an organization tip for storing your tights. My post got 20 notes, while someone who took my photo and posted to her blog (yes, there is a link) got 58 notes.  Just bothers me.

When I lived in New Jersey, I used to have a couch just like this one…..sigh. It was amazingly retro. I loved it, but bringing it to Cali was just too much work.

On the topic of my next at home DIY….I would like to do some sort of merge between these two dressers with my current Ikea dresser. Also, swooning over that mirror from the Design*Sponge photo. Amazing!!!!

    WHO ARE YOU, GOOGLE?
…and how do google searches work?
On various occasions I’ve wondered how google compiles information, statistics and links for search engines. Whenever I google my name, it seems as if the most random stories pop up.
For instance, the box score from a Seton Hall/Notre Dame soccer game in which I came in as a substitute surfaces in google over a Seton Hall/Rutgers game cap where I scored the goal that won the game. My name is a passing blurb in the first story, in the second story, it’s mentioned multiple times.
So why do the Notre Dame statistics pop up first? I’ve often wondered how google’s search engine is run, but never so much as today, when I randomly decided to google my name again.
This time, the first link that popped up was my twitter main. The second, a link to a random tweet that I wrote (ohhh, maybe a month or two ago) about my period. Really, google/twitter? Really?
Someone, please- anyone, send me a clue-clue so I can understand how this works and why the universe hates me (probably #5 or so link that comes up is a facebook quiz about “How Lame Is Mary Ronau.” I know.).
